Original hand painted papers by Claire Maziarczyk

What
are Paste Papers?
Paste
papers are one of the earliest forms of decorative papers. They were
first used
in the 16th century for covers and end papers on books. In the
early 1980’s, renewed
interest in paste papers created a renaissance in
decorative paper making, which
has yielded some of the most intricate and
beautiful designs to date.
Paste
papers are most commonly used for traditional crafts such as
bookbinding.
They also provide a stable ground for calligraphy, and
printmaking. In addition, these
high quality papers are ideal for scrap
booking, collage, rubber stamping, and
origami. Custom coloring using the
Pantone Color System can yield a unique look
for corporate identity,
package design, or personal stationary.
Paste
papers created by Claire Maziarczyk are stain resistant, durable,
lightfast,
and pH neutral. They also offer an exciting alternative to
other decorative surfaces.
Patterns and colors are updated regularly in
order to stay current with the trends in
the home furnishing market. Many
of the papers coordinate well with available
picture framing materials.
PASTE PAPER PATTERNS are a contemporary expression of a traditional
craft.
They are created with the finest papers and paints currently
available.
Our papers are consistent from batch to batch, while
maintaining their
handmade charm.
We are available from 9AM to 5PM EST on Monday through Friday.
